Jas Hutchinson-Bazely (UK) began studying the organ with Charles Harrison at Lincoln Cathedral, and subsequently graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with First-class honours after four years studying with Darius Battiwalla. He was offered the Frederick Lunt Award to study at the RNCM, and during his time there he participated in classes given by several visiting tutors including Thomas Trotter, Gordon Stewart and Kevin Bowyer. He was awarded the college's Organ Recital Prize for three consecutive years and performed alongside the RNCM String Orchestra and accompanied the RNCM Symphony Chorus. Jas spent a year as the Organist in Residence at Blundell’s School in Devon, and undertook further study with Margaret Phillips before starting his postgraduate studies with Pieter van Dijk and Matthias Havinga at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Most recently Jas was invited to participate in a César Franck masterclass given by Ben van Oosten on the celebrated organ of St. Ouen Rouen.
